Tobias Müller (GER) and Amelie Raymond (SUI) took first place on todays last day of the FIS Telemark World Cup in Hintertux. After the very intense and exciting parallel-race runs the german Tobias Mueller and swiss-born Amelie Raymond again successfully prevailed over their competitors and so managed to be standing on the victory podium.
On todays last day of the FIS Telemark World Cup opening in Hintertux, the 24-year old german Tobias Mueller successfully dominated in the men’s parallel sprinting race. »Today was very intense! First of all my qualifying round was not the best and then I had to start my parallel race of all racers against Philippe Lau who is a strong competitor of mine. Luckily I was able to stay positive and concentrated nevertheless«, explained the 24-year old German.
In the women’s race Amelie Reymond from Switzerland once again took first place. She successfully prevailed over her competitors such as the french Argeline Tan Bouquet, swiss-born Beatrice Zimmermann or the Norwegians Mathilde Ilebrekke and Thea Smedheim Lunde: «I just try to have fun and then of course it’s important to be fast«, said the 29-year old winner.
Luckily the weather as well as the snow conditions at the Hintertuxer Glacier were again great – proper view, sunny, -6 degree, which made todays parallel sprint a smooth run and the perfect ending of this exciting sportive event.
