4. FIS SKI WORLD CUP 2016 TELEMARK – 1. raceday, 25.11.2016

Philippe Lau (FRA) and Amelie Reymond (SUI) took first place on todays opening of the FIS Telemark World Cup in Hintertux. After the two race runs the french Philippe Lau and swiss-born Amelie Reymond successfully prevailed over their competition and so managed to be standing on the victory podium.

On the first day of the FIS Telemark World Cup opening in Hintertux, the french Philippe Lau dominated once again both races in the men’s sprinting race. He so managed to win with a total time of 1:30,62 minutes ahead of the german Tobias Müller (1:32,68) and Tobi’s german colleague Jonas Schmid (1:32,74). “Thanks to the ideal weather conditions this first competition day was just perfect. Hopefully the next two days will be just as good“, so the 30-year old French.

In the women’s race Amelie Reymond from Switzerland once again took first place. This year with a total time of 1:43,96 ahead of norwegian Mathilde Ilebrekke with a total time of 1:48,68. Beatrice Zimmermann took third place with a time of 1:44,50. „It’s always satisfying to begin the season like this. I’m quite content with todays run.“

Thanks to the very good weather conditions it was an amazing kick-off day with hardly falls or dangerous situations.
